WATSON (West Albany Technological and Science Operating Nerds) is a part of the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) organization created by Dean Kamen, inventor of the Segway. The program is for high school students interested in technology, computers, and robotics. WATSON is composed of students from West Albany High School and the program is regarded as "the best experience a student can have in high school." We have been in the organization for four years and have earned many awards overtime, including the prestigious 2003 Pacific Northwest Regional Chairman's Award and was part of the 2004 season winning alliance.
