45 - Techno Kats

The Technokats are involved in many aspects of education, community, and competition. Whether its orchestrating the Annual New Year's Eve Ball-Drop Ceremony in downtown Kokomo or creating new and exciting rehabilitation tools for Bona Vista, the TechnoKats are up for the challenge.

All of our major events are designed to be visible and exciting learning experiences, experiences that not only grab the imagination and attention of the participants, but are big enough, noisy enough, and fun enough to attract the attention of other students and the community. The culminating event for the club is the FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology) National Robotics Competition, which is held annually at sites all over the country.

The involvement of the TechnoKats Robotics Team is designed to teach students teamwork skills, problem solving, the real-world applications for classroom lessons, and that science and technology can be fun, exciting, and a great career choice. We welcome and encourage students with a variety of interests to get involved. We feel that creative thinking, learning, and problem solving are valuable skills for everyone, whether they are artists, electromechanical engineers or writers.
