Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Engineering is proud to be the host site of the Richmond, Virginia Regional for FIRST Robotics. We are pleased to partner with FIRST Robotics to offer merit-based scholarships in the amount of in-state tuition and fees renewable for up to three consecutive years. Two scholarships are available; one of which is designated as the Karl Linn Memorial Scholarship.

Eligibility Rules

  • -The recipients must meet the regular academic requirements for admission to the School of Engineering to be considered for the scholarship and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 as a full-time major within the School of Engineering in order to retain the scholarship,
  • -be high school seniors who are actively participating on a FIRST team during their senior year in high school,
  • -demonstrate exceptional academic high school performance,
  • -submit a complete application for admission to VCU by February 1, 2008 (application for admission, standardized exam results, high school transcript,) as required by the University.
