University Of Missouri-kansas City

The University of Missouri-Kansas City’s School of Computing & Engineering will
award one $1000 non-renewable scholarship annually to a qualified incoming
freshman student meeting criteria as outlined below. SCE Scholarship Committee
will select recipient from all qualified applications received prior to January 31
deadline for the next academic year's award.

Eligibility Rules

• -First -time entering Freshman accepted and admitted to an SCE degree
  
• program;
  
• - Must maintain full-time (minimum 12 credit hours per semester) enrollment
  
• - Active participation in a FIRST robotics high school competition team;
  
• -Minimum 3.00 high school GPA, composite ACT score of 26+;
  
• - One letter of reference from high school Robotics Team Advisor
  
• addressing applicant’s robotics team participation and performance,
  
• leadership skills, extracurricular involvement, and potential for success in
  
• an engineering or computer science discipline.
  
• - Recipient required to join and maintain active participation in the UMKC
  
• IEEE Robotics Team throughout the entire academic year of award.
