In support of the FIRST mission, The New School is offering five $10,000 scholarships to high school
seniors who have participated on a FIRST team during high school. This scholarship may be utilized
for any full-time undergraduate course of study at Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal
Arts or Parsons The New School for Design. The scholarship is renewable up to a total of $40,000
over four years, contingent upon maintaining good academic standing. (Students enrolled in joint
BA/BFA programs may receive $50,000 over five years.) Each recipient must meet the regular
academic requirements for admission to the College.

Eligibility Rules

  • -Be a senior in high school
  • -Have participated at least one full season during your junior or senior year on a FIRST
  • Robotics Competition (FRC) team, a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team, or other FIRST
  • team.
  • - Apply and be admitted to Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts of
  • Parsons The New School for Design as a full time student. (However, you do not need to
  • have already been admitted at the time you apply for this scholarship.)
  • -Have a combined SAT score of at least 1300 (Math and Verbal) and a GPA of at least 3.5 on a scale of 4.0)
