Michigan Technological University, in partnership with FIRST, will award one $2,500 merit-based scholarship for an undergraduate degree in any engineering discipline for the 2007-08 academic year. This scholarship is available to any eligible high-school senior who is actively involved on a competing FIRST (FRC or FVC) team and who plans to attend Michigan Technological University to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering. Application materials must be submitted by March 16, 2007.

Eligibility Rules

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the U.S.
  • Must be a high school senior planning to go to MTU
  • Must be currently actively participating on a FIRST team
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in the College of Engineering
  • Must demonstrate financial need by filling out the FAFSA
