DeVry also assists students in attaining their career goals outside of the classroom by providing assistance with part-time and post-graduate career opportunities.

DeVry University provides career-oriented technology-based education to high school graduates and working adults. DeVry's many campuses in the United States and Canada compose one of the largest private higher-education systems in North America. DeVry offers curricula in business, computers, electronics, information technology, technical management and telecommunications management. General education, technology and business are integrated into each program.

First established in 1931 by Dr. Herman DeVry, DeForest Training School in Chicago prepared students for technical work in electronics, motion pictures, radio and, later, television. The name was changed to DeVry Technical Institute in 1953, and it became the flagship of the current system of campuses. In 1968, the name was once again changed, to DeVry Institute of Technology. In 2002, we became DeVry University, a name that represents our rich history of educational excellence and our commitment to the highest quality undergraduate and graduate programs.

DeVry University has locations across the United States as well as in Alberta and Ontario, Canada, and online. Every day we help to educate approximately 49,000 students; each one with the individual attention of a small school but the resources of a major university.

DeVry University offers many bachelor's degree programs in business, technology and management. And our course offerings are continually enhanced to meet the growing need for technical and business professionals worldwide.

In 1987, DeVry merged with Keller Graduate School of Management. Today, as the graduate school of DeVry University, Keller offers master's degree programs in Business Administration, Accounting and Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Information Systems Management, Project Management, Public Administration and Telecommunications Management at locations nationwide as well as online.

Additionally, operations expanded in 1996 to include Becker CPA Review. Today, Becker Conviser Professional Review offers courses preparing students for the state-administered certified public accountant, certified management accountant and chartered financial analyst exams at more than 300 U.S. and international locations.

The merging of DeVry, Keller and Becker brings together resources and expertise in management, business and technology in full- and part-time programs from the associate through the master's degree level.
